The Team


We’re a group of veteran engineers and marketers who are passionate about reinventing eCommerce. We come to work every day with the explicit goal of creating products that align the needs of shoppers and retailers alike.

With more than half our team dedicated to building technology, our constant focus is on innovation. Well, innovation and ping-pong, because let’s face it – even constant focus needs to take a break every now and again.

 

  • Mark Douglas, President & CEO

    Mark oversees the direction of SteelHouse with his 20 years of product development experience gained through repeated success in helping fast-growth companies with groundbreaking technology transition into emerging markets.

    He started in Silicon Valley at Oracle, as part of the founding team of the Oracle Applications Division, now a multi-billion dollar business. Shortly after, Mark founded a series of successful startups that resulted in IPOs and acquisitions by Informix Software and VMware. He was also VP of Technology at eHarmony where he spent almost four years building personality matching technology that enabled eHarmony to become one of the most recognized brands in America. More recently, Mark built new technology for Rubicon Project as VP of Engineering.

     

  • Brooke Partelow, Vice President of Sales

    Brooke has a proven track record of driving exponential sales growth, as well as developing strong customer relationships through her skill for matching retailers and brands with cutting-edge marketing solutions. She oversees SteelHouse’s sales team and motivates them to reach new heights, while driving growth and efficiencies.

    She blazed trails for sales and client services during the seven years she spent at KnowledgeNet, which was acquired by SkillSoft in 2006. Shortly after, she served as Director of Sales at Amadesa, a web site optimization and personalization platform where she delivered award-winning hybrid marketing solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, Brooke did time at Fetchback as Senior Retargeting Strategist.

     

  • Marwan Soghaier, Vice President of Product

    Marwan is in charge of driving the next generation of SteelHouse’s leading Behavioral Commerce marketing solutions. He works closely with the leadership and product teams to inspire and develop pivotal, game-changing product visions, while also directing the company’s overall product roadmap.

    He has developed marketing technology and innovative, accessible product interfaces and platforms for numerous companies. Before joining SteelHouse, Marwan was VP of Marketing at mobileStorm, Inc. and VP Product Marketing at the Rubicon Project, where he designed a user interface for the premier online ad network. He recently earned a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology.


  • Chris Innes, Vice President of Client Services

    Chris leads the Client Services team and works closely with his team to ensure that all SteelHouse’s clients not only achieve their marketing goals, but also surpass them. Together, he and the Client Services team actively make sure that each and every client feels empowered with our solutions.

    Chris began his career on the client side of commerce, instigating a passion for the development of the client-vendor relationship. His experience headed into several marketing and SEM roles before heading to eCampus.com, an IR top 200 company. In his capacity as their Online Marketing Director, he developed a cross-channel strategy leading eCampus.com back into the forefront of online textbooks. Before joining SteelHouse, he helped Bluewire Media create online marketing strategies as their VP of Marketing.

     

  • Takuju Ueda, Vice President of Engineering

    Takuju leads the Engineering team, with responsibility for product functionality, quality assurance, and overall user experience. With more than 10 years of experience in software and SaaS testing, Takuju sets the bar for making sure our system can seamlessly scale with the exponential growth of the company while also keeping costs reasonable.

    He has worked with well-known companies who are recognized leaders in technology. He began his career at Sony and then Fujitsu as a QA Engineer, but soon took on a position at eHarmony as a QA Manager. Prior to joining SteelHouse, Takuju served as the QA Lead at the Rubicon Project.


  • Anthony Ginn, Vice President of Marketing

    Anthony oversees the Marketing team and is concentrated on building the organization and marketing processes that have helped SteelHouse become one of the fastest growing and most successful start-ups in Los Angeles. Under his guidance, SteelHouse has continued to lead the industry and win several awards including an ad:tech Innovation winner, Launch Silicon Valley Next Generation Internet Leader, recipient of Under the Radar’s Judge and Audience Choice award and more.

    Anthony started in consumer financial services at E*TRADE and as VP at H&R Block’s Consumer Financial Services Group. Anthony then went on to lead eHarmony’s Customer & Lifecycle Marketing before serving as the VP of Marketing, Sales & Support at VerticalResponse, a leading provider of email marketing software.
