Inside Sales Representative

SteelHouse is one of the fastest growing online advertising companies in the country. LA-based with a cool company vibe, SteelHouse is looking for a talented, energetic and hungry Inside Sales Representative, highly motivated by personal performance rewards, to help build out their Sales team. Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated inside sales representative to generate leads for the senior sales team. This is a significant position at the company where you’ll have a major impact on revenues and enjoy the personal financial rewards of your hard work. Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide general company and product information and hand off qualified leads to the Client Services team.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of our products and technology to help customers determine needs.
  • Answer inbound inquiries and direct to appropriate department and representative.
  • Provide marketing and sales materials to clients.
  • Assist Client Service team in maintaining good customer relationships by providing proactive follow up.
  • Sales lead management – Capture and track sales leads to closure, qualify opportunities, forward to Client Services and follow up to ensure sales contact has been made in a timely manner.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports on a weekly basis.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Saleforce.com a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and a desire to learn more.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Position Summary:

The Client Services team is looking for a strong, polished, energetic, aggressive and dynamic sales leader. Must have at least 5-7 years of successful business to business sales experience in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making cold-calls/prospecting. The right candidate is as comfortable conducting needs based selling with a Fortune 500 CMO in a board room as they are doing hard core selling to a junior online marketing manager. Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic sales leader focused on meeting aggressive monthly and quarterly closed deals and revenue targets and developing strategic plan to meet those goals.

Position Summary:

The Client Services team is a group of account management professionals who specialize in the exciting world of online display advertising. The Client Services team is seeking a goal-oriented, energetic and talented individual who has a passion for building and deepening relationships and will be a driving force in growing the company. The Account Manager retains and grows client relationships and orchestrates the client lifecycle with SteelHouse.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Quickly onboard clients onto SteelHouse platform, train clients and get them acclimated onto our self-service platform.
  • Respond to client requests for new project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various members of the production and sales teams to assess the scope of work and produce cost estimates.
  • Assess the competitive landscape, develop project proposals and negotiate budget and schedule with the client.
  • Grow existing client relationships through service and technology development.
  • Add strategic value to the relationships by bringing to the table additional revenue opportunities available to client within SteelHouse platform.
  • Take a proactive role in learning about clients’ industry, business needs and company culture, educating the project team, identifying new business opportunities and providing a high level of service.
  • Perform detailed account reviews.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress, ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets and ultimately produce high quality deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client contacts.
  • Set and fulfill client expectations.
  • Perform other special projects or duties when required.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years experience in client-facing account management / client service representative role in advertising, website, software or gaming development.
  • Superior written and spoken communication skills.

Java Engineer

SteelHouse is a fast growing, LA-based, online advertising startup looking for the right person to help round out our strong development team. Long hours should be expected but the team has an open culture, a fun work environment and the team is truly enjoying the success we’ve had so far and expect to have going forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Face unique challenges of writing code that deals with 100,000+ requests per second across multiple DCs
  • Build out the real time system for bidding on thousands of ad impressions per server every second
  • Ensure that customer facing services meet five nine uptime requirement
  • Research and implement new solutions for increased availability and scalability
  • Have a sense of entrepreneurism and contribute to the vision

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of solid Java development
  • Experience dealing with high availability and scale
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with Key-Value store
  • Experience with PHP and/or Perl is desirable
  • BS in CS or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
